Dining Plan

Hi. Welcome to Dining Services.

We're here to plan, shop, cook, and clean... so you can concentrate on college!

Your Housing contract includes one of three Dining Dollar Plans based on your Housing assignment:

  • The 3255 Full Meal Plan (96 Dollars per week)
  • The 2795 ResHal Minimum Meal Plan (82 Dollars per week)
  • The 2145 Apartment Minimum Meal Plan (63 Dollars per week)

Dining Dollars are linked to your campus ID card, and can be used in all UC San Diego Dining Services restaurants and markets. Each purchase is automatically deducted from your account balance- just like a bank debit card.

The Dining Dollar Plan is designed to be flexible for an array of lifestyles and appetites.

In a hurry or don't like to cook? Use your Dining Dollars in any of our restaurants for a quick latte or made-to-order meal. Hosting a study group? Shop at your local retail store to pick up snacks and drinks for a get-together at your apartment!

Our Retail Locations

Your Dining Dollars can be used to shop at any Dining Services Retail location on campus. Our markets are like convenience stores, only better. Why deal with leaving campus when you can easily stock your kitchen with mini-meals, drinks, and other supplies? Choose from organics, vegan items, ethnic treats, gifts, and other goodies. You can also special order items with us- we're happy to arrange for shipping and pick up!

Remember, you can always add Dining Dollars, Buy Up to a more inclusive Dining Plan, or open a Triton Cash account.

Please Note: We encourage all new students to attend the annual Convocation dinner. Most of the Dining Services locations will be closed for dinner that evening, and a non-refundable deduction of 10 Dining Dollars will be made from the accounts of Freshmen and Transfer Students.

One Dining Dollar yields one dollar of purchasing power. The Dining Plan cannot be changed, dropped, transferred, or refunded.
