Adding to Your Dining Plan 

Your Housing program includes either 2100 Dining Dollars if you live in an apartment, or 2750 Dining Dollars if you live in a ResHall. These Dollars can be spent as your appetite demands in any Dining Services restaurants.

The Dining Dollar Plan is designed to be flexible to fit an array of lifestyles and appetites.
Many students find that they need or want to supplement their plan. If you plan on eating most of your meals and snacks with Dining Services, consider adding Dining Dollars using one of the following options:

1. Buy Up on Dining Dollars early (only available from August 26 through September 12, 2008).

2. Add Dining Dollars later in the school year when you start to run low. This gives you an idea of your eating habits before you add funds to your plan. You will receive $10 BONUS DOLLARS for every 100 Dollars you deposit.

3. Open a Triton Cash Account and beginning fall 2008, you will save 10% on EVERY purchase made in a Dining Service facility!

You may purchase Dining Dollars or open a Triton Cash account with cash, check, or credit card. The Triton Card Account Services office is located above Cafe Ventanas at Eleanor Roosevelt College. Credit card payments are accepted in person, via phone at 858.534.7587, or online any time at the Online Card Office.

Please note that Dining Dollars expire at the end of spring quarter, are non-refundable, non-transferable, and do not carry over to the next academic year.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I budget Dining Dollars?
To make budgeting easier, your balance shows up on the register display when you make a purchase. For 24/7 convenience, visit the Online Card Office for Dining Dollar and Triton Cash Account transaction history, balance, or to suspend a lost or stolen Campus Card.

What should I do if my Campus Card is missing?
Contact the Triton Card Account Services immediately at 858.534.7587 or go to the Online Card Office to report it missing. Your account will be frozen to prevent unauthorized use. However, remember that you are liable for up to $50 of purchases made before your account is frozen, so please act quickly. Telephone notification must be confirmed promptly by the account holder in person or in writing.

With a valid photo ID (like a driver's license), Triton Card Account Services will issue you a temporary card for a week to access your Dining Plan and Triton Cash. If your Campus Card is still missing, you'll need to purchase a new one at the SBS (Student Billing Services) Office.

Can my friend purchase a meal for me with my Dining Dollars?
Never loan your Campus Card to others! You are the only person authorized to use your Dining Plan or Triton Cash Account. Your college Residential Life Office may discipline you for using another person's account.

If you are ill and unable to go into a restaurant to get food, please contact your college Residential Life Office for a sick tray pass. A friend can pick it up for you and your Dining Plan will be debited for the purchase.

Are there other terms and conditions I agree to by using the Dining Plan?
Yes. All customers are expected to display proper, decent behavior in Dining Services facilities. Food throwing, hitting, biting, scratching, indecent exposure, excessive or loud vulgarity, etc. is absolutely unacceptable. The individual Dining Services restaurant or the College may discipline you for such actions.
