Important Information

Assigned Move-In Date/Time
With the room assignment, students are each given an assigned move-in date and time designed to better regulate traffic flow and avoid crowded conditions on move-in weekend. Students who cannot make their assigned move-in date/time or decide to change this assigned date/time, can do so by clicking on the Change Move-In Date button and selecting a new date/time from the options available (when viewing their room assignment). A confirmation email will be sent to the student’s UC San Diego email address with any changes made to their assigned move-in date/time. The deadline for any changes is Friday, September 14, 2012 at 4:00pm! No other changes will be permitted after this date. Questions should be directed to your College Residential Life Office. Also please refer to your College Welcome Letter/Email as it will contain specific move-in details!

Please note that your assigned move-in date/time is designed to help make your move-in a smoother process. Any changes to that assigned move-in date/time may result in longer waiting periods for parking, elevators and check-in.

September Orientation
If you are a new incoming freshman for ERC, Revelle or Muir College AND attending September Orientation, you were assigned a move-in date/time corresponding with your September Orientation. Students attending September Orientation should already be arriving on a specific date that was setup when arranging to attend this Orientation session. Contact your College Orientation Office if you have questions about when you are supposed to be arriving on campus or your College Residence Life Office.

If you are attending September Orientation for TMC (Thurgood Marshall College), you were assigned a move-in time for Saturday or Sunday of move-in weekend. If you choose to arrive earlier than the contract start date of Saturday, September 22nd, you will pay the early move-in charge (see below) as your College does not offer a housing option with their September orientation session.

If you are attending September Orientation for SIXTH or WARREN COLLEGE, you cannot change your assigned move-in date/time. Please contact your College Residential Life Office with questions. All Sixth and Warren College students attending September Orientation should be moving in on Wednesday, September 19th.
